Welcome to my thoughts. . .

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OS2fI2p9iVs

Poor guy. . .he's actually trying to stop this freight train.

If you check out ronpaul2008.com, he was the one presidential candidate trying to bring attention to this issue, but he was for the most part ignored. The US Govt is spending 500k A MINUTE in Iraq with NO exit strategy in place. Hence, they are spending 10Billion a month in Iraq and that will continue "forever".

At some point, the common citizen will either be taxed to the point that going to work will not make sense, or there will be such major financial catastrophes because the Fed's income from tax receipts won't cover the monthly 'interest only' payment on the debt. (It doesn't cover it now)

We already would've had this catastrophe in August 2007, and 3 weeks ago in March. But, the Federal Reserve just 'creates' BILLIONS in loans ( another 500 BILLION since August ) out of thin air to come to the 'rescue'. Think, "abra cadabra".

The Fed relies on the fact that as common people we do not understand the concept of big numbers. The idea is the same to us of 3 trillion dollars, and 43 trillion dollars. To us, it's just 'a lot of money' one way or the other. No business, no person, no city govt would be allowed to take the ATM cash advances off their credit cards like this, and continue to open new credit cards and max them out the way the Govt does.

Is it an easy problem to fix? No. But not many in Government seem to be trying.

The pioneers of the US are embarrassed right now. Inflation will accelerate, the dollar will continue to decrease to the value of zero, and at some point it will stop. So be prepared for this day. You hear it all the time, and again it's easy to ignore, or put off 'for another day', or 'when I have lots of money', but you need a food storage.

Because when you absolutely need a food storage, and your families life depends on it, the 20k in checking at Wells Fargo won't mean anything to the empty shelves at Albertsons and hungry people trying to feed their families by any means necessary wandering the streets.

Happy thought I know, but seriously, do as the Govt does. Grab your MasterCard and buy a nice 90,180 day supply for your family. Because if you ever need the food to survive, and don't have it, how much would you pay to avoid watching your children starve? Extreme I know. But you tell me, is it possible? Or, can we forever count on the Government to be there? Can we be certain that a catastrophe is not possible?

Sorry for the long rant! But this kind of stuff gets me fired up!

Recommendation? It's on DVD. . . rent it if you have kids
Length - 1 Hour 46 Minutes
If it weren't for John Cusack, big sis Joan may never work again.
This is a movie made for families. So, unless you're going to watch this one with kids, or like family movies, stop reading now.
This movie is about a guy who picks the strangest kid in the orphanage to adopt. They go through their struggles and in the end all is good.
I give this movie 3.5 out of 5 stars

August Rush

Title - August Rush
Rating - PG
Actors - Freddie Highmore, Keri Russell, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Robin Williams, Terrance Howard
Directed By- Kristen Sheridan
Recommendation? It's on DVD. . . rent it ASAP!
Length - 1 Hour 44 Minutes . . Perfect

Sometimes you just need a movie with a 'happy ending'. Don't think Asian massage parlor, you sicko! Happy ending meaning it all works out perfectly in the end.

This is a great movie! Story is about a boy who happens to be a musical prodigy. He hears a symphony of music in everyday occurrences. He is on a quest to find the parents that gave him up for adoption.

This is a must see for families, music lovers, or if you are in the mood for making some popcorn and watching a movie, you won't be disappointed.

I give this movie 4.5 out of 5 stars. Rent it this weekend!

SOUTHLAND TALES

Title - Southland Tales
Rating - R
Actors - The Rock, Sean William Scott, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Mandy Moore, Justin Timberlake, Nora Dunn, Jon Lovitz, Cheri Oteri, John Laroquette
Directed By- Richard Kelley
Recommendation? It's on DVD. . . rent it
Length - 2 hours 20 minutes

First of all, don't let the laundry list of 'B' actors scare you. JT, The Rock, Mandy Moore, Stiffler from American Pie? This has to suck! But. . . it doesn't.

Have you seen 'Donny Darko'? Same director. Same type of movie. Very cool, a little hard to understand. Watch this movie with someone you think is smart, so they can help you figure it out. If you can't figure it out, you're a total idiot!

Movie is set in 'the future' after a post nuclear attack in the U.S. Cool premise. I especially like the part when Justin Timberlake's character is in a drug induced hazy dream and sings along to 'The Killers'.

At times an unnecessary amount of 'F' bombs. Doesn't help the dialogue along.

Cool Movie. Only watch it if your ready to figure out a puzzle.

I give it 4 out of 5 stars.

" 21 " The Movie

Title - 21
Rating - PG 13
Actors - Kevin Spacey, Jim Sturgess, Kate Bosworth, Aaron Yoo, Liza Lapira
Directed By- Robert Luketic
Recommendation? Wait for DVD. . . rent it
Length - 2 hours on the dot

This movie is about a bunch of MIT Wiz Kids that use their math and statistics prowess to take over Las Vegas. Based on the book "Bringing Down The House". The movie will get you excited about a Vegas trip, but in the end you realize. . .gambling sucks.

I give this 3.5 stars. Decent movie. I wouldn't kill myself trying to get to the theatre for this one.
